Missing India this Republic Day?Well a few Dubai restaurants are offering residents a taste of home.

Bombay Brasserie, Downtown Dubai’s designer Indian kitchen invites guests to indulge in a gastronomic experience that journeys through the signature flavours and delicacies of India this Indian Republic Day.
On Tuesday, January 26th, guests will be served an authentic three-course set menu created by Chef Ajay Negi to commemorate the special day. Diners can indulge in Indian winter specials such as Sarson ka Saag with Makki ki Roti and Baigan Mirch ka Salan. Desserts include Passion Fruit Jalebi with Rabdi and Kesari Rasmalai for the sweetest ending to the celebration.

Taj JLT 
Shamiana, the renowned and much-loved restaurant, hailing from the iconic Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, explores the diversity of pan-Indian cuisine in celebration of Indian Republic Day. Under the direction of award-winning Executive Chef Sonu Koithara, his brigade of specialty culinarians has brought elaborate dishes to life whilst preserving the past, using authentic ingredients and age-old home-style cooking techniques. Guests can enjoy the myriad flavours of India amidst a riot of colours with orange and yellow Marigold flower arrangements, brass oil lamps, music, and henna artists.
In the spirit of Indian Republic Day which falls on the 26th of January, Shamiana will serve a special three-course set menu of its signature dishes for both lunch and dinner accompanied by classic and iconic Bollywood tunes for a vibrant celebration.

Gol Gappa Restaurant

This  72nd Indian Republic Day 2021 on 26 January,  the Bollywood inspired Indian fusion food restaurant Bol Gappa in Al Karama is bringing all the Indian Expats in Dubai together for a fun Gol Gappa/Pani Puri championship.
The Republic Day Special competition “Bol Gappa Pe Gol Gappa” is all about as many Gol Gappas one can eat in one minute. The restaurant has tied up with a well known socializing group Indian Women in Dubai to host this event.
Open to all, interested participants can simply walk in all day to the restaurant and can pay AED 15 at the counter to participate in the fun competition.
Restaurant will keep track of the number of gol gappas eaten by the participant in one minute.
The winner will be announced the next day and presented with a F&B voucher. Moreover, all participants will get a 15% discount on the total bill.  Some of the most tempting bites from the menu include Mexican Bhel, Chicken Khurana, Palak Dhikhlaja Chat, Carrot Halwa Springs Rolls and more.
